"I wanted to take part in supporting MIND BDC because of the work they do to help others. Having resources in a time when connecting and being understood is so important to someone suffering with mental health. A big driving force to why I believe in my paintings is from the moments and connections it creates with amazing people. To be able to help others is something I aspire to do more on this art journey."

"9 years ago, I decided to start a new life after struggling with two major losses in my personal life. I found a place to live, bought a property and opened up my own deli on north bridge in town. 

​

I was still in a dark place though so I turned to MIND during that time and they put me in touch with services to help me. Later, COVID came and gave me a kick back down to the ground. I lost my business and had very bad episodes of mental and physical health but once again MIND was there for me, offering any help I required.

I know even today that if I needed help that MIND is just on the other end of the phone. They never judge, always are friendly and a safe place to talk."

"Through first hand experience, I know how important it is to have access to mental health support through organizations such as MIND BDC. I also know how taking walks in nature, the countryside, hearing the birds and the animals, helps lift my mood and supports my mental health. I took a photo of the heron on one of my walks and it felt right to offer this piece to support MIND BDC."
